What is saved

Nothing is saved while you use the sample estimate. Only when you choose to save a test enquiry, and tick the box to say you understand it is fictional, does the demonstration keep one record in a private database. That record holds:

• your paving answers: the areas and their sizes, the surfaces, soiling, condition, drainage and what the work includes;
• the sample figures or assessment reasons, recalculated by the demonstration's server;
• the note you chose from the list;
• the fixed fictional contact details (Demo Visitor, alex@example.com, AB1 2CD);
• the time it was saved and its reference.

What is never collected

• No real names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses or postcodes. The contact details are fixed and cannot be changed.
• No free text, uploads or photographs.
• No bookings, payments or messages. Nothing is emailed or passed on to anyone.
• No analytics, advertising or requests to other websites. The fonts and drawings are served from this website.
• Nothing is kept in your browser's storage. One short-lived session cookie is used only to stop other websites from saving enquiries through your browser.

Who can see a saved test enquiry

Only the person running the demonstration, in the hosting account's private database console; there is no inbox page on this website. Saved test enquiries are meant to be deleted after 30 days. Deletion is attempted each time a later test enquiry is saved, so older records can remain if the demonstration is not used or a clean-up attempt fails. The hosting provider processes the network information needed to serve and protect the site; the demonstration itself stores no IP addresses.

If a save is not confirmed

If the page cannot confirm that your test enquiry was saved, it says so and keeps your answers. Trying again is safe: an enquiry that was in fact saved returns its original reference instead of being saved twice.
